WHO AM I
Mr. Roy Li studied clarinet at the Adelaide Conservatorium of Music with Dean Newcomb, Principal Clarinet of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with Susan Newsome and Frank Celata. He has performed across Australia and overseas as soloist and orchestral clarinettist, including principal clarinet roles.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Mr. Li founded Delicato Music Academy in 2020 and serves in Sydney Catholic Schools and the Sunshine Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. His students' chamber ensembles perform regularly at concert halls including the Sydney Opera House, as well as aged care centres and community festivals across Sydney. Recent teaching highlights include studnets won Junior Quintet National Champions at the 2025 Yamaha Australian National Band Championships and first place at the 2026 Chamber Music Sydney Eisteddfod, alongside students achieving AMusA diplomas and state championship titles.
